Australia - October 2003

I got over it. Some pictures are missing or not possible to enlarge due to censorship.

 Nice hotel in Brisbane

 Not the best view though

 Golden Orb-Weaver (Nephila edulis)

 Jacaranda Tree

 Rented Holden Commodore

A quite famous restaurant in Noosaville

Best lunch of the trip ...

... but I had to fill up with half of Kath's fish and chips.

 Pretty nice motel in Bundaberg

 Kath thought so too.

Sugar cookery. Its product probably ends up at the Bundaberg Rum Distillery.

I drove more than 2000 km in three days.

HUGE tidal zone. Muddy too as Kath is about to find out after her next step.

 Nicer beach in Mackay

Made by a Sand Bubbler Crab (Scopimera inflata).

I got very drunk that night.

 So did Kath.

Most of the fun ended here.

Airlie Beach, where people prefer the grass and saltwater pool

The reason: Northern Australian Box Jellyfish (Chironex fleckeri)

 Cairns Rainforest Skyrail

 "No pictures! I look mojje!"

 "OK, just one." (censored)

Fish 'n chips again in Kundara at the end of the skyrail

 :p~

On our way from Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef

Changing boats from the Compass ...

 ... to the Reef Encounter.

 Nice cabins!

 Great snorkeling!

 Sun! (censored)

 Lots of sun!

 "What could possibly go wrong?"

"You just wait and see ..."

 The morning after

Alcohol-induced happiness back in Brisbane about 30 hours later

I had a few hours to spend in Bangkok on the way home. This is Patpong just before it became impossible for a caucasian male to walk around.

Cool sign, but what does it say?
